• In this role, you’ll work on a range of projects that allow you to solve complex data challenges and create sustainable, impactful solutions:
• Build and Maintain Data Pipelines: Design and develop scalable, reliable data pipelines that handle data ingestion, transformation, and integration across multiple sources.
• Optimize Data Storage and Processing: Work with cloud and on-premise infrastructure to ensure optimal data storage, retrieval, and processing efficiency.
• Ensure Data Quality and Consistency: Implement best practices for data validation, cleansing, and monitoring to maintain high-quality, accurate datasets that the team can trust.
• Collaborate with Data Science and Analytics Teams: Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data needs, and provide accessible, well-organized data sets for analysis and insights.
• Data Modeling and Architecture: Design and implement effective data models and architectures that support business needs, ensuring data is organized and optimized for accessibility and performance.
• Monitor and Improve Performance: Regularly review and refine systems to improve performance, scalability, and efficiency of data workflows and pipelines.
• Documentation and Best Practices: Maintain comprehensive documentation for data processes, data dictionaries, and standards, creating a consistent foundation for the team.

We’re looking for someone who is experienced, analytical, and committed to quality:

• 7 Years of Data Engineering Experience: Strong background in building and managing large-scale data pipelines and infrastructures, preferably in a complex, fast-paced environment.
• Advanced Technical Skills: Proficiency with SQL, Python, and/or Scala, as well as data processing frameworks like Spark or Hadoop; experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) is a plus.
• Data Architecture Knowledge: Understanding of data modelling, data warehousing concepts, and best practices in data architecture.
• Problem-Solving Mindset: You enjoy tackling challenges and developing solutions that improve efficiency, scalability, and data accessibility.
• Attention to Detail: Strong focus on data quality, consistency, and accuracy, with a commitment to thorough testing and validation.
• Collaborative Spirit: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, translating business requirements into technical solutions that drive value.
• Adaptable and Eager to Learn: Willingness to explore and adopt new tools, technologies, and methodologies to keep our data engineering practices up-to-date.
